LEGOSOFT MOVES TO KRONOS ENTERPRISE SCHEDULER

Kronos Enterprise Scheduler is a full-featured job scheduling system
written for Sun’s Java2 Enterprise Edition (J2EE) environment.
LegoSoft has developed a special auction system for a Mexican
financial group. This system manages the financial group’s auctions
of products such as interest rates for funding, and investments. The
scheduling component originally used by the system was Flux, a Java
job scheduling component available from Sims Computing, and a
competitor to Kronos Enterprise Scheduler in the J2EE scheduling
space.
LegoSoft began looking for alternatives to Flux, initially because of
the pricing. "We were very concerned about [Flux] from a price
perspective because of its runtime fee weighed against the deployment
needs," said David Solis, software architect and founder of LegoSoft.
Upon conducting a technical study which compared various products on
the market with respect to both pricing and functionality, LegoSoft
discovered that Kronos Enterprise Scheduler offered more features
with a lower price tag.
Solis likes the fact that Kronos Enterprise Scheduler is more than a
job scheduling component - it is a complete end user system. "We
found Kronos is a good product for both developers and administrators,
