KRONOS ENTERPRISE SCHEDULER 2.20 ADDS WEBSPHERE SUPPORT, GREATER SCALABILITY
Paramus, NJ - July 20, 2001 - Indus Consultancy
Services (ICS) today announced the latest release of Kronos
Enterprise Scheduler, a full-featured job scheduling system written
for the Enterprise Java (J2EE) environment.
This version has a number of enhancements, most notably support for
IBM's WebSphere 3.5 application server,and improved scalability.
These new features were added in response to requests from customers
and evaluators alike. The large installed base of WebSphere 3.5
customers gives Kronos Enterprise Scheduler a wider audience to
appeal to, and ICS expects to have WebSphere 4.0 support in the
next few weeks as well.
On the scalability front, interest was expressed by several
companies in the ability to run literally thousands of concurrent
jobs, some of them long-running jobs. Version 2.20 of Kronos
Enterprise Scheduler will allow them to do that with greater
performance and reliability than previous releases.
