ICS ANNOUNCES KRONOS ENTERPRISE SCHEDULER 1.00
Paramus, NJ - April 18, 2001 - Indus Consultancy
Services today announced the first production release of its
enterprise–class scheduling product, Kronos. Known during beta
releases as Job Scheduler for Java, Kronos is a full-featured job
scheduling system written for the Enterprise Java (J2EE) environment.
As a J2EE application, Kronos is able to achieve a high degree of
portability, scalability, and reliability, features which are
critical to an enterprise system. Additionally, Kronos provides a
comprehensive set of scheduling options, powerful holiday definitions,
job dependencies, administrative alerts, J2EE security integration,
and monitoring capabilities, all of which combine to make Kronos one
of the most complete solutions on the market today.
Any J2EE 1.2 compliant application server should be able to run
Kronos. ICS has certified the initial release against Weblogic 5.1
SP7, WebLogic 6.0 SP1, and the J2EE Reference Implementation.
Testing is currently planned or underway for additional servers,
including iPlanet Application Server and IBM WebSphere.
