ICS ANNOUNCES KRONOS ENTERPRISE SCHEDULER 2.00

JavaOne, SAN FRANCISCO, Calif., June 4, 2001 - Indus Consultancy Services Inc., today announced the second major release of Kronos Enterprise Scheduler at the sixth annual JavaOne conference. Kronos is a full-featured job scheduling system written for Sun’s Java2 Enterprise Edition (J2EE) environment.

As a J2EE application, Kronos is able to achieve a high degree of portability, scalability, and reliability, features which are critical to an enterprise system. The first release, introduced in April, provided a comprehensive set of scheduling options, powerful holiday definitions, job dependencies, administrative alerts, J2EE security integration, and job monitoring capabilities.

With the unveiling of version 2.00, Kronos opens its application programming interfaces (APIs) to J2EE developers, allowing them to integrate its powerful features into their own applications. Version 2.00 also sees the introduction of a web-based end-user interface to complement the existing "rich client" interface, further enhancements to scheduling options, additional failover capabilities, and improved monitoring of future events.
