DEFINITY HEALTH SELECTS KRONOS ENTERPRISE SCHEDULER
Paramus, NJ - August 10, 2001 - Indus Consultancy Services
(ICS), today announced that Definity Health, a leading provider of
consumer-driven health benefits has selected Kronos Enterprise
Scheduler to meet the scheduling needs of their organization. Kronos
Enterprise Scheduler is a full-featured job scheduling system written
for Sun’s Java2 Enterprise Edition (J2EE) environment. Definity Health
plans to use Kronos Enterprise Scheduler to schedule data feeds into
and out of their organization, content loads to their web site, and
data maintenance processes.
With existing investments in J2EE technology, Definity Health found
Kronos Enterprise Scheduler to be a good match for their organization.
Support for products such as BEA Weblogic application server and
Oracle database server was key.
Definity Health also liked the flexibility of the product. In
addition to providing a core J2EE-based scheduling component, Kronos
Enterprise Scheduler provides both Java-based and Web-based end-user
applications for creating, maintaining, and scheduling jobs and for
monitoring job executions. All of the features of these applications
are exposed through an open API (application programming interface),
which allows Definity Health to access the scheduling functionality
from within their own applications. This gives Definity Health an
overall scheduling solution that they can implement faster and for
less money than with an in-house solution.
