ICS ANNOUNCES NETDYNAMICS PACs FOR REPORTING ENVIRONMENTS

SAN FRANCISCO - May 4, 1998 - At the NetDynamics User Conference, Indus Consultancy Services, Inc. (ICS), a provider of application development solutions, today announced NetDynamics Platform Adapter Components (PACs) for various reporting environments such as Seagate Software’s Crystal Reports and Actuate Software’s Actuate.

The PACs provide seamless integration with the award-winning NetDynamics Enterprise Network Application Platform and high-end distributed reporting systems. The PACs allow users to generate, print and distribute reports from within a NetDynamics application.

"Integrated reporting solutions are an important ingredient of network applications," said Vic Morris, vice president of marketing for NetDynamics. "Indus’ PACs will help extend the NetDynamics platform to include Crystal Reports and Actuate, addressing the reporting needs of our enterprise customers."

Customers using Crystal or Actuate will create their reports in the respective environments. The created reports will then be available to a NetDynamics application via the PACs. Reporting formats to be supported by Indus’ NetDynamics PAC include HTML, Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, and PDF. The PACs will also provide NetDynamics developers the ability to invoke various functions available in the reporting environments.

The PAC for Crystal will be available in 60 days and PAC for Actuate will be available 30 days after that. The pricing will be announced at the time of product release.
