NJ Case, Organization, Utilization, Reporting and Tracking System (COURTS) Contract AWARDED to ICS

Services (ICS) is pleased to announce that it has been awarded
the Case, Organization, Utilization, Reporting and Tracking System (COURTS).
The New Jersey Department of Labor, Division of Workers' Compensation has selected ICS
to design, develop and implement a Y2K compliance, fully automated web-based Workers
Compensation System that tracks, maintains, and reports on all workers compensation
cases in the state of New Jersey. Users of the system will include judges, attorneys,
doctors, NJ-DOL staff and insurance companies.
The COURTS project consists of three phases, and once implemented, New Jersey will be the first state in the nation to have a fully automated workers compensation system. "COURTS will afford an unparalleled level of access to case information critical to members of the bench and bar of New Jersey, to WC insurance carriers and to the employer community. For the first time, the judicial staff will be able to directly manage the scheduling and hearing of their own court cases, review case history and conduct necessary legal research on the bench, in their chambers and at home through the use of personal computers. The user friendly "graphical user interface" format will enable addition of new cases as well as the rescheduling of existing cases by the clerical staff to be simpler and faster. In sum, New Jersey employers, insurance carriers, members of the Bar and ultimately, injured workers, will reap the benefits of improved access to critical data, responsive statistical reporting, reduced printing and postage costs, improved case processing and, ultimately, resolution time".
