Pennsylvania BCC Case and Data Management System Contract AWARDED to ICS
Paramus, NJ - July 2002 - Indus Consultancy
Services, Inc. (ICS) today announced the acceptance of its
proposal for a BCC Case and Data Management System by the Breast
and Cervical Cancer Early Detection Program of the Pennsylvania
Department of Health’s Division of Chronic Disease Intervention.
ICS will analyze, design, develop and implement a HIPAA compliant integrated
web-based system comprising of Breast and Cervical Cancer data collection,
analysis and reporting system and Case management system
The Data Manager component will provide an efficient and cost-effective way
of gathering data from providers across the state. ICS will also be hosting
this system at its secure, state-of-the-art facility at Paramus, NJ.
The Case Manager component of ICS’s system will allow for the effective
follow-up of cases on a patient-by-patient basis. Authorized users of the
system will have access to the complete history of a patient-from older
screening and diagnostic information to goals, follow-up activities and
outcomes.
Senthil Kannan, Systems Analyst at ICS, said that the customized
version intended for Pennsylvania will have "added functionality
over past BCC systems." Mr. Kannan was referring to the systems
ability to accept data directly from hospitals and other
providers via the Internet by means of a web-based interface.
"Our system will make the entire process speedier and less prone
to errors by decreasing the amount of paperwork involved."
ICS has successfully implemented similar web-based and HIPAA compliant
systems for the states of New York and Alabama.
